Historic Markers
The Alexander Doniphan Chapter, NSDAR, has placed several historic markers around Liberty to aid in preserving history. The markers we have placed include:
- Commemorating World War Heroes; placed February 22, 1919, as a Memorial Tablet at the entrance of the Old Court House, in Clay County, Missouri; rededicated November 12, 2022 as a bronze plaque located at 9 S Leonard St., Liberty, MO 64068
- Commemorating the American’s Creed; placed September 17, 1924, as a bronze tablet placed in the main corridor of the E.H. Miller High School, Liberty, Missouri
- Pioneer Settlers and Spring around which Liberty, Clay County, was founded; placed February 1, 1970
- Battle of Blue Mills Landing; placed September 2020, as a marker on the corner of Ruth Ewing and 291 Highway, in Liberty, Missouri
