Awards

The Alexander Doniphan Chapter, NSDAR, works within the community to recognize work being done to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR or NSDAR) sponsors many scholarships including the Merit Scholarship, the Elementary and Secondary Teacher Scholarships, and the American Indians Scholarship. NSDAR also sponsors several essay contests including the Junior American Citizens contest, DAR Good Citizen essay contest, and the American History essay contest.
